Description
Wire Loop Box
The wire loop box is available in two versions, one is a single-layer version and the other is a double-layer version, which includes a single wire rope loop and a double wire rope loop respectively to ensure the strength of the connection. Wire Rope Connection Boxes are a simple and efficient solution for connecting precast concrete elements. The connecting buckle is made of high-strength steel wire rope and protected by galvanized box and tape. Our wire rope loop boxes are straightforward to use in the field, with the proven toolless peel-off tape releasing the flexible loop. The box body is easy to install into the formwork of the concrete member, and the steel wire rope is pulled out of the box body before pouring concrete to form a connection between two adjacent wall panels. Mainly used for double-sided laminated shear walls, solid walls, sandwich insulation wall panels, etc.
The wire loop box needs to be fixed on the template, and after the site is ready, the flexible folding wire needs to be pulled out for connection. The load will be transferred from one concrete panel to the other via the wire rope loops. A 6 mm high strength (1770 MPa) galvanized steel wire rope must be crimped with a compression sleeve/ferrule to form a loop at one end and transmit the load axially through the other. The load is transferred from one concrete panel to another by wire rope loops.
Features of Wire Loop Box
●The connecting ring consists of a grooved box, which, thanks to its stepped side form, fixes itself in the concrete well, and one/two/multiple steel wires, which together with the box form a load-bearing structure.
●Fix the box to the formwork of the wall panel before pouring the concrete. Before pouring the panels, fit the loop boxes to the form at the spacing required to accommodate the shear loads.
●After removing the formwork, tear off the protective tape, open the loop with a hammer or a pin, etc.
● A pair of boxes and vertical steel bars installed in a loop form a vertical shear-resistant joint with concrete grout in the joint.
